ASONE Hub VIBE Songwriting Competition 2024 now live and calling all songwriters!
Once again, ASONE launch their songwriting competition as part of their VIBE Contemporary Music programme. From poet to band, we’re looking to celebrate your work! With three exciting categories awaiting your original compositions – Lyrics, Solo Arrangement, and Band Arrangement – there's a stage for every musical genius to shine.
How to enter
You can submit your entries to VIBE Contemporary Music Lead Ryan Jones by emailing your submissions in the following formats:
Lyrics: submit a document with a page of lyrics
Solo arrangement: Email over a recording or video of you playing your song on your own (or in a small acoustic group).
Band arrangement: Send in a recording or video of you performing your original piece with a band/ large ensemble.

But wait, there's more! For our budding young talents, we've crafted a special primary competition, where students can dive into the world of lyricism and group harmonies. We will be sharing a lyric writing video for you to follow in class, creating a fun and creative activity for everyone.
For the primary competition the three categories are:
- Best student lyrics
- Best class lyrics
- Best class sing-along of an original song
Prizes will include:
- Songwriting workshops for your school
- Arranging and recording your original song
- Certificates
- Performance opportunities for your class
